Abstract
High-voltage, high-energy two-layer capacitors have been recently developed. The authors deal with the field distribution and effective permittivity of such capacitors. The use of a simple empirical formula for the field dependence of the conductivity of nonohmic materials permits a detailed discussion of the field distribution and the electrostatic energy stored in the device
