Abstract
Summary form only given. In this study we test flat electron - excited phosphor (ZnS:Cu,Al+In2 O3 - Green) luminescent lamps operated with voltages in the range of 2.5 – 5 kV and currents of 0.5 – 2 mA. The discharge takes place between two flat transparent film electrodes with 1 cm gap between them. The buffer gas pressure is low (about 17 Pa) and no mercury is employed, which makes the lamp a candidate for future green backlight sources1.
