Title :
Coping with increased demand for emergency and standby power
Abstract :
Data indicating that commercial power system reliability may be declining are reviewed. Examples of power users who have increasing demands for highly reliable power are presented, and changes that will be required in emergency and standby power systems to meet these demands are discussed. ANSI/IEEE Standard 446-1987, in its updated form, is suggested as an aid to designers in meeting these new requirements
