Abstract
An output feedback law is designed for a nonlinear control benchmark experiment. The experiment consists of a beam free to rotate on a pivot at its center of mass and electromagnets located at both end of the beam (actuators). The feedback law demonstrates the ability to reject considerable amount of persistent disturbance. Moreover, it alternates actuation between the two electromagnets to reduce the actuator magnetic flux
