  • Abstract
Two modes of operation of the slip ring induction machine are investigated: the double-output induction generator (DOIG) and the double-excited induction generator. The output power, power factor, efficiency, system displacement angle, and firing angle of the two are compared. An optimal scheme of operation combining both modes is proposed. It is shown that the power generated by the DEIG is greater than the rated power and also more than the output power of the DOIG
