Abstract
In this paper, a method of reducing peak to average power ratio (PAPR) in 3GPP-LTE uplink (SC-FDMA) was proposed. We investigated the method of reducing PAPR using pilot sequences and detailed schemes. The advantages and disadvantages of Walsh-Hadamard Sequences were discussed. This kind of sequence is easy to use but is of high PAPR. Then we discussed several CAZAC sequences, mainly about phase shifted sequences, such as Chu sequence, Frank sequence and Golomb sequence. We also compared the differences between various kinds of pilot sequences. Considering both the complexity and the performance improvement of these sequences, we draw the conclusion that pilots with Golomb Sequence are the best choice among the sequences above.
