Abstract
Summary form only given. The transport of solar energetic particles through the interplanetary medium can be described roughly by a time-dependent one-dimensional diffusion equation that includes the effect of adiabatic focusing. For certain initial- and boundary-conditions this equation can be solved analytically and it is possible to infer the corresponding intensity- and anisotropy-time profiles.
