Abstract :
This paper presents an analysis of the noise and interference immunity of a noncoherent DSSS super-regenerative receiver. The study takes into account the effect of superregeneration, the nonlinearity introduced by the envelope detector and the PN code correlation. Analytical and simulation results show that the processing gain of the receiver and its interference rejection capability represent a midpoint between the behavior of narrowband receivers and that of optimum conventional spread-spectrum receivers
