Abstract :
A systematic method to design active filters to meet specified performance bounds over a wide range of values for the gain-bandwidth product (GB) is represented. The method finds a simplicial approximation to the acceptability region assuming ideal op amps and determines the minimum value of GB for which each of the boundary points is acceptable. The boundary point which allows the minimum value of GB is selected as optimal with respect to variations in GB. A balanced-structure filter simulating the operation of an LC ladder is considered as an example
