Abstract :
Based on the data of high-tech industry in China during 1998-2007, the paper calculates the level of specialization, diversity and competition of high-tech industry. From the perspective of industrial added value and patents, the paper establishes the panel data model to analyze the impact of growth and innovation of high-tech industry from its agglomeration effect. The result shows that strong positive MAR and Jocobs spillover effect exist in the agglomeration of high-tech industry, but the competitive level is weak negative related with the growth and innovation of high-tech industry.
