Abstract :
In this paper we investigate the possibility of an idle-speed control law, simple enough for real-time applications. Our design approach takes explicitly into account the presence of finite time delays between manifold pressure and spark advance inputs and the resulting torque output. Effectiveness and robustness of the control scheme are shown through computer simulations
