Abstract
The piezoelectric strain coefficient d 31 of stretched and unstretched acrylonitrile/methylacrylate copolymer films has been investigated with respect to dependence on poling conditions. A maximum value of d 31≈3 pC/N is obtained for stretched films. The time stability of piezoelectricity is relatively low. A hysteresis loop of electric displacement versus electric field has been observed for the first time, indicating ferroelectric-like behavior
