Abstract
Quality function deployment (QFD) is a customer-oriented tool that aims to meet the customer needs, and the determination of the relative importance of customer needs is the key step of QFD. Due to the imprecision and vagueness of peoplepsilas perception, the 2-tuple linguistic model is introduced in QFD. The linguistic information is transformed and aggregated in the form of the 2-tuple linguistic and the TOWA operator is selected to do the exploitation and get the basic relative importance of customer needs. Furthermore, entropy method is introduced to do the competitive analysis, and the final importance ratings are determined jointly by the basic relative importance and the relative competitive ratings. At last, an example is used to illustrate the steps of the new method.
