Abstract :
Communication satellites in the geostationary orbit are highly susceptible to intentional and unintentional interferences. This paper brings forward the systems design of an array based on-board interference mitigation system with emphasis on broadcast satellites. A trade-off between different performance parameters and system constraints is provided. The operational aspects of the system are discussed. A proof-of-concept model is developed and test results are provided.
