Abstract :
A study was made of the behavior of negative corona charging of Teflon FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) at elevated temperatures. Equivalent surface voltages, charge centroids, total charges per unit area, and TSC (thermally stimulated current) of samples were determined under different charging temperatures and charging times. From their relationships the authors found several interesting results. For example, under elevated temperatures there are limitations to the depth of charge centroids and maximum of total charge per unit area. The best charging temperature and charging time with respect to stability of negative corona charging of Teflon FEP were determined
