Abstract :
Nanoparticle cluster arrays (NCAs) are two-dimensional photonic-plasmonic crystals that are fabricated through a combination of top-down and bottom-up fabrication methods and thus enable to integrate chemically assembled structures into extended arrays with defined morphologies. The ability to control feature sizes on nano to micron-meter length scales provide new possibilities for fabricating complicated multiscale materials with interesting electromagnetic properties. In this seminar the design, fabrication and optimization of Nanoparticle cluster arrays for biosensing application is reviewed.
