Abstract :
Complexity of underwater channel itself and high investment, high risk of field tests are limitations of underwater acoustic communication technology development. For high efficiency of underwater acoustic communication technology development, HLSP/UWAC (A Hardware-in-Loop Simulation Platform for Underwater Acoustic Communication) is proposed. Using configurable underwater acoustic modem as the core module, HLSP/UWAC includes field test sampling system, underwater acoustic waveform data storage and playback system, algorithm simulation evaluation system, and algorithm implementation loading system. Based on HLSP/UWAC, a hardware-in-loop simulation study for underwater acoustic direct sequence spread spectrum communication system is done, and the results show that HLSP/UWAC can efficiently improve the efficiency of underwater acoustic communication research.
