Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. The thermally stimulated discharge (TSD) current excited at 90 degrees C by 27 kV/cm in 20- mu m-thick polystyrene (PS) films in contact with Al, Pb, Cu, Ni, Cd, and Zn have been measured keeping the other electrode as Al. TSD parameters were observed to change with the choice of electrode material. The maximum charge is stored by PS films in contact with Cu. The observed polarization has been explained in terms of the detrapping of charge injected from the electrode and in terms of the space charge effect.<>
