Abstract :
Since classical DC/DC converters consist of capacitors and inductors they are usually large, and their power losses are high during switching-on and -off. Switched inductor DC/DC converter with two-quadrant operation can have the characteristics of high power density and transfer efficiency. However, its power losses are still high during switching-on and -off. This paper introduces two-quadrant DC/DC zero-current-switching quasi-resonant converter (ZCS-QRC), which effectively reduces the power losses, and largely increases the power density and power transfer efficiency. Experimental results verified the advantages of this converter
