Abstract :
A joint synchronization scheme is proposed for burst communications in this paper. By inserting unique words at the beginning of each burst frame, the estimation of timing and frequency offset can be achieved while detecting the burst signal. The derivation and realization of this scheme is presented, the performance is also discussed. It is shown through simulation that the proposed scheme is efficient when noise and frequency offset existed.
