Abstract :
The metallographical image analysis is the combination of the modern information technology and material science. This paper presents the structure of metallographical image processing and recognition system and studies on the key technology of the system from image preprocessing, image segmentation and grain-boundary reconstruction, feature extraction, pattern recognition and so on. The complex core problems and the research direction are also analyzed in this paper.
