  • Abstract
    In this work we measure second harmonic generation in the opaque regime of a GaAs cavity with conversion efficiency of the order of 0.1% at 612 nm, using 3 ps pump pulses with 10 MW/cm2 peak intensities. We show that the conversion efficiency of the inhomogeneous second harmonic component grows quadratically with the cavity quality factor.
