Abstract
Broadband emission was generated with a 3-dB bandwidth of 406 nm at a center wavelength of 1140 nm by chromium doped fiber. This broadband emission is attributed to emission centers of Cr3+ in high-field site (HFS) and Cr4+ in both HFS and low-field site (LFS) when excited by 900-nm pumping wavelength
