Abstract :
Over the past 3 years the University of Pittsburgh has moved its freshman classes from a traditional classroom setting to a new computer assisted learning environment. This paper will discuss how math, chemistry, physics and engineering have modified their course content from a traditional lecture setting to a active learning environment and how the technology in the classroom has been used to assist in the instruction.
