Abstract
Organizations face frequent changes generally impacting its business processes. These processes are often relegated to the background, and do not get the expected attention. Before talking about process improvement, it needs first to be designed and formalized, which is far from being the case for the majority of organizations. In this paper, we present ANEW (collAborative busiNess procEss management Wiki) approach that attempts to offer pragmatic and simple ways in managing business processes using agile and social concepts to help bridge the gap between IT and business and the opportunity to empower business users to actively participate in all process´s phases. We deployed our approach in two pilot projects, and collected data that allowed us to assess its main concepts and draw initial concluding remarks.
