Abstract
Computer-controlled low-thermal-EMF switches with a configuration that minimizes heating due to friction at the contact are reported. Preliminary measurement results are presented. The thermal EMFs of the switches settle within a few seconds after switching, and the reproducibility of the EMF is better than 1.5 nV.<>
