Research and development strategies to fast advance China´s semiconductor industry

The rapid growth of the electronic market and the shift of the global semiconductor manufacturing to Asia have propelled an unprecedented massive expansion of semiconductor industry in China. This development is actively supported by the Chinese government to make the national microelectronics industry more independent, competitive and capable of pulling the development of other high-tech industries, such as information and communications, in the country.
