Abstract :
SMARTREV is an electric prototype vehicle designed and built by the Adaptive and Nonlinear Systems Laboratory (ANSL) of the Electrical Engineering Department and the R&D Shops of the School of Engineering and Applied Science at UCLA. It serves as an experimental platform for research in vehicle control and automation as well as for systems engineering education. It features a sophisticated hardware-in-the-loop setup, “x-by-wire” capabilities, and a user-friendly integrated software control platform. The paper outlines the development of SMARTREV, its current and planned capabilities and the current research activities related to it
