Abstract :
A possible scheme of MMW time-domain automatic network analysis (TDANA) is presented, and its principle is demonstrated mathematically. The transfer characteristics of a bandpass filter with central frequency of 35 GHz and passband width of 1 GHz were measured. With a frequency resolution of 50 MHz and a dynamic range of 35 dB, the random uncertainties of amplitude and phase in the passband are within 0.15 dB RMS and 4 degrees RMS, respectively. The experimental results show that the scheme and the principle introduced are valid and can be widely used in the analysis of linear network characteristics in the MMW region.<>
