Abstract :
Multi-hop routing and cooperative communication technologies are the key technologies of wireless sensor network (WSN), and whether the combination of them can certainly improve energy efficiency is a pivotal question. Based upon this, considering the channel characteristics, based on different channel models, this paper studies the performance of routing strategy based on Multiple Input Single Output (MISO) cooperative communication technology in WSN. The simulations show that cooperative communication technology cannot save energy in any condition, and this relates to the channel state including channel type and path wastage exponent and so on. In gaussian channel adopting MISO cooperative routing cannot improve energy efficiency. However, in Rayleigh channel, it can improve energy efficiency when the state of channel meets with some certain conditions.
