Abstract :
An expression for the dielectric constant in terms of the resonant frequency of an arbitrarily shaped microstrip antenna is presented. Dielectric constants measured by the method are in good agreement with the manufacturer-specified values (taking into account the specified tolerance). The uncertainty analysis for the dielectric-constant measurement has been performed. It is pointed out that the formula obtained is useful for the computer-aided design of microwave integrated circuits.<>
