Abstract :
In this paper an induction motor drive for electric vehicle applications is proposed. The system joins a robust very low resolution position sensor with both an instantaneous speed observer algorithm and a sensorless technique, achieving satisfactory speed identification and control. Simulation results show that the proposed system offers promising performances in the whole set of significant operating conditions
