Abstract :
In this paper, we describe a new method of SPICE-compatible circuit modeling for RFID antennas. It is derived from the input impedance or admittance of the antenna and the Vector Fitting method. The antenna input impedance can be easily simulated by an EM simulator or measured using a vector network analyzer. And the method of Vector Fitting is employed to convert its input impedance to a SPICE equivalent circuit. The most important contribution of this study is to show that RF components such as antennas can be integrated into the simulation of communication systems and helps system designers to predict and consider the effect of the RF components in the design process.
