Abstract :
In this paper a method for intellectualized detection and fault diagnosis of vacuum circuit breakers is introduced. The system consists of sensors, single-chips, measuring circuits, processing circuits, controlling circuits, extended ports, communication interface, etc. It can monitor on-line the condition of a vacuum circuit breaker, analyze its change tendency, identify and locate and display the detectable faults. This paper describes the main detecting principles and diagnostic foundations. The hardware structure and software design are also given
