Abstract
A synchronization control method for the chaos system of the non-smooth air gap permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the model of PMSM in the rotor-field-oriented frame is transformed into the simple non-dimensional form via the affine transformation and multiple time scale transformation. Then, the chaos behaviors of PMSM are analyzed by means of phase portrait and bifurcation diagram. Finally, a synchronization controller and parameter estimator are designed to realize the chaos synchronization and parameter estimation of the PMSM by employing the Lyapunov stability theory. Numerical simulation results show that the theory analysis is correct and the proposed method is effective.
