Abstract :
New tools and modelling techniques are needed for detailed characterization of the distribution system. A distribution transformer modelling procedure is discussed which represents the distribution transformer with a minimum of input data for network, load, and fault studies, thereby allowing the transformer to be routinely included as part of the distribution network. The method presented illustrates how transformer models are developed and how their parameters are estimated
