Abstract
An algorithm based on wavelet transform (WT) is developed for enhancement and detection of ECG signals. Random noise and low frequency baseline drift are both reduced by processing of the wavelet transform in the finest and coarsest scales. The coefficients in the intermediate scales are used for the extraction of ECG characteristic points. Discussion of some testing results is also presented
