Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel Dynamic Priority Time-Threshold-based Queuing bandwidth allocation Scheme for Multimedia services (DPTTQM) in cellular networks. Because future data service will occupy a large portion of all services in next generation mobile networks, there is much significance in improving non-prioritized handoff data call dropping probability of Finite Queuing Adaptive Time-Threshold-based bandwidth allocation Scheme for Multimedia services (FQATTSM) further. The proposed scheme modifies priority definition and bandwidth allocation of FQATTSM and then, uses a dynamic probabilistic priority policy for QoS guarantee of voice service. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme enormously improves performance of non-prioritized handoff data dropping probability and obviously reduces the average queuing delay of non-prioritized handoff data calls compared with FQATTSM.
