Abstract :
A cement plant has a mixture of components ranging from custom rolled kiln shell to off-the-shelf gearboxes. There are many types of non-destructive testing (NDT) available to determine and monitor the condition of cement plant components. A method of NDT that is suitable for the kiln shell may not be appropriate for a gearbox. An overview of the NDT methods available and how they can be applied to specific components is presented
