Abstract :
A robust control approach is presented for the attitude maneuvering control and vibration damping of a spacecraft with flexible appendages. Firstly, a new attitude maneuvering controller based on the sliding mode control (SMC) is derived to control the attitude motion of spacecraft. Secondly, the discontinuity in the sliding mode controller is smoothed in side a thin boundary layer by using fuzzy logic technique so that the chattering phenomenon is eliminated efficiently. Thirdly, positive position feedback (PPF) is provided to suppress the induced vibration. Numerical simulations demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the control strategy.
