Abstract :
SABSA has been widely adopted as a framework for developing security architectures which reflect real business needs, and providing an end-to-end context for security policies and standards. In this paper we describe how we bring together the appropriate parts of the Survivable Network Assessment methodology and probabilistic risk assessment of the survivability of critical infrastructure systems to deliver a full process for designing survivable Next Generation Networks. This paper introduces the Survivable Network Assessment Process (SNAP), and shows how this can meet the requirements of the UK´s Telecommunications Systems and Services Security procedures standard.
