Abstract
In the paper, results from Teel and Kapoor (1997) are employed to improve the anti-windup protection for Newport Corporation´s Elite 3TM vibration isolation system. Anti-windup protection is required because, in the event of occasional very large disturbances, the signals from the high performance linear controller saturate the piezoelectric actuators. To achieve improved anti-windup action, the approach in the above paper is generalized, thus showing interesting extensions of that anti-windup scheme. Simulations and experiments show the effectiveness of the proposed solution
