Abstract
The author presents a brief overview of the many contributions to microwave engineering of Dr. Seymour B. Cohn during the period that he was at the Stanford Research Institute (1953 to 1960). Consideration is given to Cohn´s contributions in the following areas: design theory for transmission lines and obstacles, new microwave filter design theory and structures, and microwave lens antennas.<>
