Abstract :
Power control is a significant mechanism to improve the wireless system performance and reduce the interference in indoor radio transmission environments. In this paper, a two-way power control algorithm is applied to point-to-point indoor line-of-sight (LOS) short-range radio transmission and varies the transmitted power as a function of the path gain. The effectiveness of the algorithm is verified by implementation in 2.45 GHz radio transceivers. Moreover, the accuracy of the algorithm is improved by the evaluation of the distance-dependent reflection coefficients and ultrasonic distance detection systems.
