Abstract :
In this paper, we proposed a simplified mathematical model of multi-car single-shaft elevators. This model is based on Markon´s S-ring that is a state transition model of single-car multi-shaft elevators, and inherits modeling and analysis powers from S-ring. We applied the proposed model to evaluation of three typical policies and a superior one for group control. From the results, we can say that the proposed model becomes a testbed for studying group control policies.
