  • Abstract
In this paper, we propose an “ANC mute microphone” to attenuate noise caused by singing voice. To verify that an ordinary Filtered-X LMS Algorithm is effective in cancelling singing voice, we conducted simulations and experimented using the DSP kit DSK6713. The simulations show that the attenuation of a singing voice is modestly possible (up to 4 dB). According to the real-time experiment using the DSK, low frequency voice, such as Bass, was attenuated relatively well, by over 8 dB. On the basis of these results, we plan to further improve this device for realistic applications.
