Abstract :
DOA identification is the most pivotal section in frequency channelized direction finding system. It can be regarded as a special application of data clustering for correctly identifying the incident directions of received communication emitters. In this paper, a clustering algorithm is developed for DOA identification, which only employs the estimated elevation and azimuth angles at all the signal-occupied frequency bins as feature parameters. This algorithm is based on Shapiro-Wilk test and divisive hierarchical cluster analysis. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has superior performance in terms of identification accuracy and stability.
