Metadata Based Student Data Extraction from Universities Data Warehouse

This paper is intended to introduce the general concept of data warehouse and metadata. A data warehouse system loads data from various operational databases, clean data, transforms the data attribute in a commonly defined attribute description and then stores the data warehouse. In this process, a number of aggregations and calculations with the data are performed to speed up the performance of the tool. This paper will use these rules that must be used to perform the calculations of student summary data using of the metadata. Metadata can be used to express the star schema and maintain the warehouse. Users can extract the student data from the data warehouse using the instance query tools.
