  • Abstract
A new method for preparing a self-assembled multi-layer lipid membrane (S-MLM) is proposed here. The structures of the obtained membranes are studied by atomic force microscopy and by rotating anode X-ray diffractometry at small angles. The result demonstrates a smooth surface and an ordered layer structure. The membranes are observed to be stable over several weeks and are suitable for antibody-antigen reactions. The possibility for medical and engineering applications is analyzed
