Abstract
Considering their input behaviour, diode rectifiers are nonlinear loads that disturb the mains because of harmonic currents and high peak currents values. European standards have been published and limit the pollution for any single-phase customer. These standards will soon be generalized to the three-phase network. This is the reason why the authors wanted to prove the feasibility of an IGBT rectifier with unity power factor. The output power of this prototype reaches more than 2O kW
